Keynsham Methodist Church - Teenagers Youth Clubs

Teen Scene

We are growing our work amongst teenagers, with a variety of activities, where we try to demonstrate our interest in them and their passions, as well as encouraging healthy, positive, moral and social skills.

KLEIDAS (YOUTH FELLOWSHIP)

A group of teenagers from Year 9 upwards meet on Sunday evenings during term time from 5.30 - 6.30 p.m. and then join the adult congregation for evening worship that usually finishes at 7.30 p.m.  They call themselves Kleidas (which is Greek for 'key') and their programme is a mix of discussion, bible study, current news and social activities. Recently, Kleidas led the evening service at Victoria, and helped us to explore the theme of HOPE.

YOUTH CLUB

Following the popularity of Kids' Club, the youth club evolved to make provision for young people in school years 7, 8, 9 and 10.

Held monthly, at a cost of £1 per session, usually on the second Friday of each month at the Queens Road Centre from 7.30 - 9.30 p.m. A range of activities is on offer tailored to the varying interests of the young people and a tuck shop is also available.

Future dates are:  8 January;  12 February;  12 March;  7 May;  11 June; 16 July

BASE CAFÉ

It is an ecumenical group for young people, held once a month, generally on the second Saturday of the month for Year 10 and above.
