Keynsham Methodist Church - Church Clubs and Activities

HOLIDAY BIBLE CLUB

Here at Keynsham Methodist Church we have been running a Holiday Bible Club since 1992. This is held in the Queens Road Centre, and attracts between 90 and 100 children of primary school age. It is held around Easter time; This year we are going on an "Adventure Cruise"  using material by John Hardwick and looking at people Jesus met. There will be lots of great worship songs, with actions, challenges, stories, drama and crafts. We will share some of the adventure at our All Age Easter Sunday service and welcome families to join us for this celebration at 10am.

Throughout the year we keep in touch with the children through family events.

Dates for 2013: Monday 25th - Friday 29th March with a theme of "Adventure Cruise"          Regstration forms are now available - contact the church office.

ICHTHUS PUPPET MINISTRY TEAM

A group of adults and children meet together fortnightly to practice and improve their puppetry skills, and to prepare sketches and songs for worship. The team welcomes anyone over the age of 9, to learn the skills of a puppeteer or to help with "behind the scenes" management, such as writing scripts, making props, or assisting with the staging and P.A.system.

Last year we presented a programme as part of the entertainment at The Victorian Evening in Keynsham.

Through this media we aim to: -

  • Spread the gospel in an effective, enjoyable and non-threatening way.

  • Enable each team member to grow in confidence as an individual and as a team member, and to develop their discipleship for Jesus.

  • Encourage each team member on their personal journey as a Christian.

THE LIGHTNESS

The Lightness Band welcomes young musicians of varying ability, including singers, from the age of 11 upwards. The band plays at All Age Worship and occasionally at other services and events.

The band practises on alternate Thursdays at the Queens Road Centre.
