Schooling for children in Kenya
We are currently supporting two school children living in Kenya.
This link was initiated through one of our own church members and we are currently seeking ways to help more children at the school.
Throughout 2009, our Junior Church children and families were actively busy raising money and awareness for schooling for 2 more children. In February we held a Kenyan Evening to which many friends came to enjoy a traditional Kenyan meal.
In June we held a sponsored swim at Keynsham Leisure Centre, boosting our funds to almost £1000. Arrangements were made for 2 sisters to join their elder sister at their local school at the start of the new academic year in January 2010. We hope to be able to support the 2 girls financially for their primary schooling.
