MESSY CHURCH
On Monday 16th January we held our first MESSY CHURCH.
Around 80 people turned out and WOW what fun we all had!
There was a real buzz of excitement and anticipation as the helpers opened the doors at 3.30pm. Mums, dads, carers and grandparents arrived with their children. As they arrived they were invited to play some table top games with refreshments available. Then the MESS really started! Children of all ages enjoyed a wide selection of crafts all around the theme of CREATION. Plenty of paint, glue, clay and even footprints with paint! A short time to learn about creation and sing before sharing tea together - sausages, beans and mash followed by fruit and cake. There was a really happy atmosphere - we welcomed families from our local schools who helped us to advertise it.
We plan to hold MESSY CHURCH every 6 weeks - so book the date of our next one now!
FRIDAY 24TH FEBRUARY at the Queens Road Centre.
