Keynsham Methodist Church - Prayer
At Keynsham Methodist Church we consider prayer to be very important andtherefore place it high on our list of priorities.
We believe in the power of prayer.
Prayer is two-way - talking and listening to God.
Through it we build relationships with God and it opens doors for God to work. We believe that God does respond to prayer, though not necessarily in the way that we would expect.
At our Victoria Centre we have a permanent prayer area in the Church with a change of theme each month. This area provides an opportunity for reflection and meditation.
Ash Wednesday – 13th February 2013 - At Victoria Centre
The KMC Prayer Ministry Team is creating a variation on a Labyrinth where you can take time out (as little or long as you like) at the beginning of Lent for your own personal spiritual check up.
You are invited to come to Victoria between 2.00pm and 8.00pm on Ash Wednesday, 13th February, to travel a journey for Lent.
(There will be a concluding Communion starting at 7.40pm for those who wish to participate)
The church will be divided up into a number of spaces/‘rooms’. In each there will be some instructions, some objects to aid reflection and some bible words to think on.
This will be personal time for you in which you can move from topic to topic in your own time
